In Samson, there are many skills available across four different categories. Each category offers useful abilities, whether for combat effectiveness or general bonuses like AP.
Every skill has its own use, but here are some of the best ones you shouldn’t overlook in Samson.
Best Skills to Get in Samson

Thrill of the Fight (Cunning) – You slowly heal during combat while your Adrenaline is full.
This is one of the most valuable early-game skills. Since Adrenaline Rush isn’t always necessary, you can often keep your adrenaline bar full, allowing this skill to heal you consistently. It helps conserve Painkillers and gives you a safer playstyle—especially if you focus on blocking and evading instead of risking using healing items mid-fight.
Carpe Diem (Cunning) – If you didn’t pay your due $, your first job the next day costs -1 AP.
This skill is a great way to gain extra AP from a single point. Although it’s located at the end of the Cunning tree and takes time to unlock, it’s definitely worth the investment.
Disarming Parry (Aggression) – Enemies drop their melee weapons when you perform a Perfect Parry.
A very useful skill for dealing with melee enemies. Perfect parries can disarm opponents, making fights easier. However, since there aren’t many skill synergies in the game, you can skip this if your playstyle leans more toward dodging than parrying.
Deep Impact (Instinct) – Your car deals damage to enemy vehicles over a wider area.
This is especially helpful for missions that involve taking down enemy vehicles, making those tasks much easier to complete.
Heart of Steel (Instinct) – Once per life, when you would be Knocked Out, you instead heal a small amount and fully restore your Adrenaline.
One of the best skills in the game. It’s located at the end of the Instinct tree, so it takes time to obtain, but it’s incredibly valuable and worth prioritizing.
On a Roll (Tactics) – If you made a good payment the previous day, gain 1 bonus AP at night.
This works as the opposite of Carpe Diem, but both skills are worth getting. Together, they can provide consistent AP gains regardless of your situation.
Pill Popper (Tactics) – You can carry +2 additional Painkillers.
A simple but effective skill that increases your healing capacity, making survival easier.
Overall, Samson’s skill tree doesn’t offer a huge variety, and the usefulness of each skill can depend on your playstyle. Some players may benefit more from certain skills depending on how they approach combat or manage their resources.
