Merge and Split Your Armies Strategically
When building your military, you’ll accumulate multiple units. These units are naturally spread out because recruiting new units like Legions takes several turns unless you spend all your dust to train them immediately.
Since units often move to different locations, encountering enemies with scattered armies can be difficult. The game does not automatically combine units for battle; only the units closest to the encounter participate.
Tip: Merge your armies to ensure they fight together in battles. You can also split them strategically into 3–4 regiments to maintain strong defenses while minimizing losses. Always remember to merge units when needed, as producing new units takes several turns.
Focus on Two or Three Key Aspects
When managing a small city, it’s best to specialize in one or two key resources at first. The main resources are:
- Food: Increases population if you have a surplus. Keep at least the minimum to avoid starvation.
- Industry: Builds structures and units faster, though excess is wasted if unused.
- Dust: The in-game currency; allows quick construction, unit training, and upkeep for a large army.
- Science: Accelerates technology research, giving access to crucial upgrades early.
- Influence: Expands territory and powers diplomacy. More territory leads to more resources.

Convert Industry to Other Resources
