How to Repair Weapons in Dying Light The Beast

In Dying Light The Beast, players are constantly finding weapons, giving you plenty of options between melee and ranged tools. While it’s easy to get attached to certain favorites, the game’s durability system means that eventually, every weapon will wear down.

Fortunately, the game includes a repair system to extend your weapons’ life. Here’s how you can repair weapons in Dying Light: The Beast and reset their durability and repair counters.

How to Repair Weapons

Every weapon in Dying Light: The Beast has a durability rating that decreases with use. To repair a weapon:

  1. Open your inventory at any time.
  2. Hover over the weapon you want to repair.
  3. Hold R to repair it. This restores full durability using some scraps.

Below the Durability bar, you’ll see the number of Repairs remaining. This indicates how many times the weapon can be repaired before it’s completely destroyed.

Durability Tips

  • Weapon tiers matter: Lower-tier weapons have low durability, while higher-tier weapons last much longer.
  • Use wisely: Treat common weapons as disposable tools for basic enemies, and save stronger weapons for tougher foes, hordes, and critical situations.
  • Scrap is abundant: Don’t worry about repair costs. Scrap is everywhere—found during exploration or purchased cheaply from vendors.
  • Don’t get too attached: With countless weapons available, you’ll always find new favorites to try.

Resetting Weapon Durability

If you want to keep using a favorite weapon, you can reset its durability by enhancing it at a workbench.

Enhancing usually improves some of the weapon’s stats, making it more effective in combat.

Note: You can only enhance weapons a limited number of times. It’s not worth wasting resources on lower-tier weapons.

Can You Repair Completely Broken Weapons?

Yes! Even if your weapon seems fully used up, it can still be repaired. Follow the same steps to restore it to full durability.

This durability system adds important tension and decision-making without reducing the fun. With so many unique weapons in the game, you’ll always have something to save for later.
