How to Complete the Mistress of the Dark Challenge in BitLife

Spooky season is here, and BitLife is bringing another thrilling challenge. This time, it’s all about playing as a female character who owns a haunted mansion and gets involved with the paranormal. Here’s how to complete the Mistress of the Dark Challenge.

Tasks to Complete the Challenge

There are five main objectives in the challenge:

  1. Be born female.
  2. Own a haunted mansion in Massachusetts.
  3. Own a poodle named Algonquin.
  4. Survive a paranormal attack.
  5. Summon at least two ghosts.

Although your character must own a haunted mansion in Massachusetts, you don’t have to be born there. You can emigrate to the U.S. and move to Massachusetts later. However, starting your life in Massachusetts (Boston is recommended) makes completing the challenge easier.

Step 1: Owning a Haunted Mansion in Massachusetts

  1. Create a female character in the U.S., ideally in Boston.
  2. Age your character until 18 and earn money through one of these methods:
    • Pursue a high-paying career.
    • Commit crimes.
    • Inherit money from family.
    • Marry someone wealthy and inherit their assets.
  3. Once you have enough money, go to your assets menu and shop for houses. Look for a haunted mansion and buy it either with cash or a mortgage.
    • Haunted mansions may not appear immediately, so you might need to close and reopen BitLife or age up your character to refresh housing options.

Step 2: Owning a Poodle Named Algonquin

  1. Go to Activities → Pets and visit an animal shelter, pet store, or dog breeder.
  2. Buying a purebred dog increases your chance of getting a poodle.
  3. Once you find a poodle, purchase it and name it Algonquin to complete the third objective.

Step 3: Surviving Paranormal Attacks and Summoning Ghosts

  1. With your haunted mansion ready, open the Spirits menu in your property to see the list of ghosts.
  2. The number of ghosts grows as your house becomes more haunted.
  3. To complete the remaining tasks:
    • Summon ghosts until one appears in front of you.
    • If it attacks, stay calm; surviving counts toward the fourth task.
    • Summon two different ghosts to complete the final objective.

Once these steps are done, the Mistress of the Dark Challenge is complete. Afterward, you can explore other fun activities in BitLife, like becoming a painter, writing a best-selling book, or becoming a famous model.
