Absolum is now available on PC and consoles, and it’s easily one of the standout releases of the year. With stunning artwork, smooth animation, and some of the best combat found in a rogue-lite, Absolum offers endless fun while remaining surprisingly light on system requirements.
Absolum Save File Location
While the game supports cloud saving, players who want to access their local save data can find it at the following location:
Client | Save File Location |
---|---|
Steam | C:\Users\[Windows Username]\AppData\Local\Absolum_SaveGame_Steam |
Inside the Absolum_SaveGame_Steam folder, you’ll find several backup saves along with your main save files and configuration file. Normally, you won’t need to modify anything here, but if you’d like to back up your progress or transfer your saves to another system, it’s best to copy the entire folder.
You can also access this directory quickly by typing the following into Windows Run or File Explorer:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Absolum_SaveGame_Steam
Does Absolum Have Multiple Save Slots?

Yes. Absolum features three active save slots, allowing you to maintain multiple profiles. Each slot displays details such as your current character, Radiance level, playtime, current location, and overall progress.
Does Absolum Autosave? Can You Exit Mid-Run?
Yes, Absolum includes an autosave system, and you can safely exit the game mid-run. However, if you close the game during a run, the progress of your current node or room will reset, while the rest of your run remains intact.
If you decide you’re not satisfied with your ongoing run, you can abandon it from the pause menu. Doing so will count as a loss and appear in your run history—similar to mechanics in Slay the Spire. You’ll still keep any rewards, such as crystals, and will be teleported back to the Hearth afterward.
Absolum Steam Features
On PC, Absolum integrates several useful Steam features, including:
- Steam Cloud – Your save files automatically upload to the cloud after you close the game and can be downloaded on any other device using your Steam account.
- Steam Family Sharing – Anyone in your Steam Family group can access the game through their library if you own it.
- Steam Input – The game natively supports multiple controllers, and Steam Input ensures that third-party controllers work without issues.
Additionally, Absolum runs smoothly on the Steam Deck, making it a perfect title for handheld play with seamless progress sharing between your PC and Deck.
