The Year 7 Season 3 manhunt in The Division 2 continues with Scout 4, tasking agents with tracking down the elusive Major Bungler. Week four features three riddles that must be solved, followed by a high-value bounty. Below are the full solutions for each Scout 4 objective in the Y7S3 Manhunt.
The Division 2 Y7S3 Scout 4 HVT Manhunt Riddle 1 Solution
The first riddle states:
“A group of former JTF personnel have been captured. Intel suggests Major Bungler might be involved.”
To complete this objective, players must finish a Hostage Rescue activity. These activities appear on the map as a green handcuff icon and are officially labeled Rescue Operation.
During the event, defeat hostile enemies until one drops a key. This key unlocks a nearby door where hostages are being held. Note that Rescue Operations spawn randomly, so you may need to liberate all control points in a region to increase the chance of the activity appearing.
The Division 2 Y7S3 Scout 4 HVT Manhunt Riddle 2 Solution
The second hint reads:
“Major Bungler has ordered extra troops to Jefferson Plaza to crack down on defections.”
The solution is straightforward: complete the Jefferson Plaza mission. The mission can be finished on any difficulty, including while the area is invaded.
For the fastest completion, it is recommended to run the mission on Normal difficulty, which still fully satisfies the Manhunt requirement.
The Division 2 Y7S3 Scout 4 HVT Manhunt Riddle 3 Solution
The final clue says:
“Reports indicate that Major Bungler is in Southwest.”
To complete this step, players must finish the 11th Tactical Recon bounty. Open the map, navigate to the Bounties tab, and select the bounty list for the Southwest region.
The bounty is labeled 11th Tactical Recon and is set to Hard difficulty. With a well-optimized build, this bounty is easily manageable even when playing solo.
