The Alloyed Collective expansion for Risk of Rain 2 introduces several new challenges, some of which can be tricky to figure out. One of these is the “Lost in Transit” challenge. If you’re struggling, here’s a step-by-step guide on what it means and how to complete it.
Challenge Objective:
Unlock the Drifter survivor in the Solutional Haunt stage. The challenge description reads:
“Free the Survivor from the vault in Solutional Haunt.”
The Drifter is a new survivor trapped in a vault in Solutional Haunt, the stage where you face the Solus Wing.
Steps to Unlock Drifter and Complete the Challenge:
- Third Stage Node:
In the third stage, activate the Node and take the Encrypted Portal to reach Conduit Canyon after defeating the teleporter boss. - Collect Sentry Keys:
Defeat elite enemies with blue shields to obtain three Sentry Keys. Insert these keys into the sentries to bring down the barrier. - Reprogram the Teleporter:
Use three more Sentry Keys to reprogram the encrypted teleporter. - Defeat Bosses:
Activate the encrypted teleporter and fight the Solus Control Unit and the Alloy Hunter. - Enter Solutional Haunt:
After defeating the bosses, enter the teleporter to arrive at Solutional Haunt. Here, take on the Solus Wing, the final boss of the Alloyed Collective expansion (though not the true final boss). - Locate and Collect Prison Matrices:
Explore Solutional Haunt to find dead alloyed units. Collect the Prison Matrix from two of these units. - Unlock the Vault:
Use the two Prison Matrices to unlock the vault containing Drifter.
Completing these steps will unlock the Drifter survivor and finish the “Lost in Transit” challenge. Once you’re comfortable taking down the final boss, this challenge is straightforward.
