In Moonlighter 2, showcases are pieces of furniture where you place relics for display in your shop. Customers can view and buy them from these showcases. At the start, your shop has access to four showcases, and the game doesn’t provide clear instructions on how to add more.
Add More Showcases in Moonlighter 2
To increase the number of showcases in your shop, first complete the second challenge of the Endless Vault, The Endless Vault II, by earning a total of 50,000 gold. You don’t need to carry this Gold with you; your total earnings must simply reach 50K.
Once this milestone is reached, Ms. Scratch will appear near your shop entrance and offer to upgrade the shop for a fixed price of 25,000 gold.
You can pay her whenever you’re ready. Upgrading the shop to level 2 grants:
- Two additional showcases for relics
- Extra space for furniture
- Increased K33P3R chest size
This brings your total showcases to six, giving you more room to display relics and reducing micromanagement during sales.
Upgrading to level 2 also unlocks the “Fresh Venture” achievement. There’s another achievement, “A Growing Business”, which unlocks at shop level 3 and likely adds even more showcases, though it hasn’t been unlocked in this guide.
Tips To Acquire 25,000 Gold
Since you need 25,000 Gold for the level 2 upgrade, here are some tips to make it easier:
- Focus on all nodes with chests, especially blue or purple chests.
- Prioritize collecting higher rarity relics, even if common/uncommon relics have higher quality.
- Avoid fighting mini-bosses or major bosses, as these runs should focus on loot collection.
- Monitor your health and potions to prevent dying and lowering relic quality.
- Use the pendant to return home when health reaches 10–15 to sell collected items.
- Organize your shop according to the six-day calendar, focusing on popular relics for higher profits.
At this stage, collecting 25,000 gold is achievable in two to three runs if you prioritize looting over combat. Adding extra showcases makes shop management more enjoyable and allows you to sell relics faster.
