Fortnite frequently introduces new quests that players can complete to earn XP and unlock special rewards. One of these missions asks you to damage opponents from below while progressing through the Battle Bus storyline.
At first, this task might seem tricky, since you may not usually pay attention to your vertical positioning during combat. However, it’s fairly simple once you understand what’s required. Here’s how to complete the “Damage Opponents From Below” quest in Fortnite.
Step 1: Find an Opponent
To complete this quest, you need to deal 100 damage to an enemy while you are at a lower height than them. Since most areas of the map are relatively flat, finding the right angle can be a bit challenging.
You can target either enemy players or hostile NPCs, including bosses, as both count toward the quest. This makes the objective more flexible than typical combat challenges.
Step 2: Get the Right Angle
The easiest way to deal damage from below is to position yourself slightly lower than your target. Here are some ways to achieve this:
- Attack opponents on hills or mountains while standing below them.
- Target players landing from the Battle Bus.
- Look for enemies using wingsuits or hot air balloons.
- Engage foes on staircases or tall buildings.
- Attack opponents on the rails at Wonkeeland.
Step 3: Deal the Damage
Once you have the right angle, start attacking your opponent. Using ranged weapons is recommended, as they allow you to maintain the lower position more easily. The Arc-Lightning Gun works well, but any weapon that can deal 100 damage will complete the quest.
Rewards
Completing this quest gives you 10,000 XP, bringing you closer to earning Battle Pass rewards. It also advances progress in the Battle Bus questline, unlocking special items that are only available by completing this set of missions.
