How to Open Military Convoys in Dying Light The Beast

While kicking zombies in the head is always fun, scavenging for resources and finding rare items is just as important in Dying Light The Beast. During your adventures, you’ll encounter large military convoy vehicles that contain valuable loot but can’t be accessed right away.

Entering Military Convoys in Dying Light The Beast

Military convoys are large armored vehicles marked on the map with a vehicle icon. You can spot them using binoculars or come across them naturally while exploring. To access a convoy, you’ll need a special Convoy Access Card to unlock its armored back door.

This keycard is obtained by defeating a biter wearing military gear near the convoy.

If the military biter isn’t immediately nearby, it’s often best to come back later. Sometimes the enemy spawns after a few other activities, so be patient. Once you locate and defeat the biter, search the body to grab the access card.

Be cautious, as there are usually tougher enemies in the area. After acquiring the card, use it to unlock the convoy’s back door and claim the valuable loot inside.

The items inside are typically high-tier, including powerful weapons and other rare gear.

Don’t Forget the Storage Panels on the Sides

After looting the back, check the sides of the vehicle. Look for locked storage panels above the large tires—these usually contain ammo and can be unlocked with a lockpick.

Once you’ve cleared both the back and side compartments, the convoy is fully looted. Military convoys are always worth opening for high-tier loot, though the main challenge is that the military-geared biter doesn’t always spawn nearby. You may need to return a few times before the enemy appears.
