Grandery in Absolum is full of side quests, hidden paths, and powerful bosses waiting to be conquered. Some areas, however, remain inaccessible until you complete certain objectives. One of these is the broken bridge, which you’ll need to repair before traveling to the mountains.
Here’s how to repair the bridge in Absolum and continue your journey forward.
How to Repair the Bridge in Absolum

To repair the bridge, you first need to defeat Gazog, Son of Zorg, and then speak with the Goblin Village Elder.
This repair task is introduced by Jendriuk the Faithful, who can be found standing at the edge of the collapsed bridge.
Once you’ve completed these steps, the Goblin Village will take care of the repairs, restoring the bridge and opening the path to the mountains.
Afterward, visit Ederig the Stalwart at the Sanctuary. He’ll instruct you to travel across the repaired bridge and drink from the Holy Fountain in the mountains — an important narrative moment in the story.

What to Expect Beyond the Bridge
Without spoiling too much, you’ll encounter tough enemies along the way. Additionally, you’ll have to fight Gazog again after the mountains, so repairing the bridge doesn’t skip that boss battle or unlock an alternate route through a different node.

While this quest opens a new area and includes unique dialogue from several NPCs, it’s not necessarily the best route if your goal is to maximize your damage build before facing the Underking.
If that’s your aim, it’s generally better to take the Mouldy Cave route, which allows you to defeat an extra boss (the Mushtroll) before facing Gazog or Rudolf, earning an additional Inspiration in the process.
Rewards and Secrets
Although there’s no achievement tied to the bridge repair quest, completing it grants some extra lore, new dialogue, and access to a secret treasure room in the mountains. However, the loot inside isn’t particularly game-changing or something you can bring back to the Sanctuary.
Final Thoughts
The bridge repair quest is fairly straightforward once you’ve beaten Gazog, Son of Zorg.
If you’re having trouble with the fight, focus on learning his attack patterns — each one has a counter. Completing this quest is still worth it for the story moments and world-building it adds to your Absolum adventure.
