In Moonlighter 2, NPCs give you various tasks during your runs, which can reward new weapons, decorations, furniture, and crafting items at the hub. Early in the game, Eris will ask you to locate a hidden treasure in Kalina, providing a cryptic hint to help you.
Since quests don’t have markers, finding this treasure can be tricky. Here’s how to do it:
Find the Hidden Treasure in Kalina in Moonlighter 2
The quest hint mentions that the treasure is where a “hammer can be heard”.
This doesn’t refer to an actual sound but to the Blacksmith you can encounter during your runs.
When choosing nodes during a run, aim for the one with the Hammer icon.
Once there, interact with the Blacksmith to grab the perk first before moving on.
The layout of the node may vary, but you need to find a path with a wooden platform leading elsewhere, like this:
This path leads to a green portal. Enter it to continue.
Inside, you’ll be teleported to a new area featuring multiple platforming sections with two types of traps that increase in difficulty:
- Spike traps: Simply roll over them. Since rolls are infinite, repeatedly press the roll button to bypass them safely.
- Air-blowing traps: These push you off the platforms and cause damage. Time your movements carefully and wait for the trap to deactivate before proceeding. Keep an eye on your health and use a potion if needed.
At the end of this section, you’ll obtain a scroll that unlocks The Vow, a new weapon you can craft at the Blacksmith back at the hub.
Once completed, you don’t need to report back to Eris—you can continue your runs immediately.
Quests in Moonlighter 2 are enjoyable because they strike a balance: they aren’t too obvious, yet not too frustrating, making exploration and discovery rewarding.
