If you’re ready for a boss battle, Ultima Carver is one of the spookiest and most challenging bosses roaming the island during the Fortnitemares event. Locating him can be tricky, but defeating him is essential for several Fortnitemares quests. Here’s everything you need to know to find and beat him.
Ultima Carver Location in Fortnitemares
Ultima Carver can spawn in three different locations across the island, all fairly far apart:
- On a mountain near the north end of Viney Shafts.
- At the very top of a tall mountain south of Ranger’s Ruin.
- In the middle of the bridge at Pumpkin Pass.
His location is marked with a skull wearing a crown icon, but this icon only appears when you’re in the right area. This means you’ll often have to guess which spawn point he’s at and move quickly between spots if you’re wrong.
Once Ultima Carver is defeated, he disappears from the map. If another player reaches him first, you’ll need to wait for the next round to fight him. Many players find success starting at the north of Viney Shafts and then moving south to Ranger’s Ruin if needed.
How to Defeat Ultima Carver
For the Defeat Ultima Carver Fortnitemares quest, you only need to eliminate him once. As a mini-boss, Ultima Carver is relatively slow and not very accurate, so you can defeat him using a variety of strategies.
- Close combat works well, especially with items like Ghostface’s Last Call, which can quickly deplete his health.
- Ultima Carver uses a Pumpkin Launcher in combat. Watch for its slow reload time to avoid taking damage.
Reward for Defeating Ultima Carver
Defeating him grants the Legendary Pumpkin Launcher, the only one on the island. If you enjoy using this weapon, it’s definitely worth the effort.
