Weekly quests in Fortnite can be some of the toughest challenges, but they offer lots of XP, making them worth completing. One of the trickier missions asks players to complete found quests, which are a hidden and secret feature in the game. Here’s how to complete them.
What Are Found Quests in Fortnite?
Found quests are secret missions that you can unlock by chatting with specific NPCs around the island. Not all characters offer them, and each NPC has multiple dialogue options, which can make it tricky to unlock the quests. When available, found quests are marked with a diamond exclamation point icon during the conversation.
Where to Find Found Quests
During the Fortnitemares event, there are four found quests you can unlock:
- Daphne’s Quest – Chat with Daphne in a building at Viney Shafts. You must find her missing luggage on a cliff southwest of her location and then confront Mothman, the thief, near the stolen items.
- Fred’s Quest – Talk to Fred next to the Mystery Machine east of Ranger’s Ruin. Collect five missing parts of the Mystery Machine along the road leading to Ranger’s Ruin to help repair it.
- Velma’s Quest – Chat with Velma in a cabin in the snowy mountains south of Harmony Hills. Retrieve her missing magnifying glass, which is on the second floor tucked behind boxes covered with white sheets.
- Shaggy’s Quest – Talk to Shaggy wandering near a gas station west of Bugswatter Beach. Gather three ingredients around the gas station to make him the perfect burger.
Although there are over 20 NPCs on the island, only these four provide found quests.
How to Complete Found Quests
To complete the weekly found quests mission, you need to accept and finish two found quests. If you completed all four quests before starting the weekly mission, you must revisit a Scooby-Doo character and redo one of their found quests, as previous progress doesn’t count.
Velma and Shaggy’s quests are the easiest to complete, so focusing on these two is the fastest way to finish the weekly mission. After completing found quests, you can continue with other key Fortnitemares activities, such as carving pumpkins or visiting the mysterious mountain location.
