Disney Dreamlight Valley: Return To Beast’s Castle Update

Disney Dreamlight Valley keeps expanding, bringing new content every few months. It can be hard to keep up with all the updates, but reviewing the patch notes makes it easier to see what’s new. If you’re ready to explore the Return to Beast’s Castle update, here’s everything you need to know.

New Characters

The update introduces Cogsworth the clock and Lumiere the candelabra, bringing new quests and exclusive rewards. Based on what we’ve seen, they will likely live with Belle and the Beast, so there’s no new house-building option for them.

Updated Realm

The Beauty and the Beast Realm, first added in the Enchanted Adventure update (Sept. 13, 2023), receives a refresh in this update. Players will return to the Beast’s castle to uncover new mysteries.

To access this area, spend 12,500 Dreamlight and unlock Lumiere and Cogsworth.
You must first unlock Belle and the Beast to access their quests.

New Quests

The update brings a variety of new quests, including:

Missions in the updated Beauty and the Beast Realm.
Friendship quests for Lumiere and Cogsworth.
Optional tasks from the Once Upon a Dance Dream Bundle.

New Premium Shop Items

The Premium Shop gets new items, including:

Witchy Kitty, the first cat in the village.
Halloween Castle, the first Dream Castle skin.
Once Upon a Dance Dream Bundle, featuring ballroom styles for Belle and the Beast, new quests, interactions, and other items.

Witchful Thinking Star Path

The Witchful Thinking Star Path adds magical content for witches and wizards, including:

Witch outfits and spellbinding furniture.
Bubbling cauldrons, magical book gliders, witch brooms, and alchemy tables.

New and Returning Events

Trick or Treat Event: Runs Oct. 15–31, featuring candy buckets in the Plaza and Halloween-themed rewards.
Haunting Floating Festivals: Runs Oct. 22–Nov. 11, where players solve puzzles on a floating magical island to claim prizes.

New Features and Quality of Life Improvements

All tools now have an extra pose in Photo Mode.
The Royal Phone has two new poses for photos.
Night Thorns, Inkies, and Splinters of Fate can be toggled off for better photos.

Other Changes and Additions

Collection and Village tabs are combined into a new Mysteries tab.
Gardening, Fishing, and Cooking are merged into an Activities tab.
New seasonal Moonstone Bundles are available.
Scrooge McDuck’s shop rotates new items.
Teal Baby Dragon and Black Pegasus are available for all The Storybook Vale DLC owners.
