In Digimon Story: Time Stranger (DSTS), Agent Skills are a big part of getting stronger, even if they might not look that important at first. Many of them require careful planning and micromanaging, but when used properly, they can make the main story much easier to clear.
Here are some of the best Agent Skills to focus on in DSTS.
Offensive Stat Boosts by Personality

You’ve probably noticed the 100 Anomaly Point Agent Skills tied to the four core Bonds—Valor, Philanthropy, Amicability, and Wisdom. These skills give a 25% boost to certain stats based on a Digimon’s personality. Once your stats climb into the thousands at Champion tier or higher, that 25% boost becomes a huge deal.
Some of the best offensive-oriented nodes include:
- Daring Perfection (Valor): Increases ATK/INT of Daring Digimon by 25%.
- Tolerant Perfection (Philanthropy): Increases INT/HP of Tolerant Digimon by 25%.
- Sociable Perfection (Amicability): Increases ATK/SPI of Sociable Digimon by 25%.
- Astute Perfection (Wisdom): Increases INT/SPI of Wisdom Digimon by 25%.
It’s best to build around a Digimon’s personality and main damage type (ATK for physical, INT for magical). Combining offensive boosts with defensive stats gives the strongest results.
Bond of Strength

Bond of Strength is especially useful if you rely on Cross Arts. Any damaging Cross Art gets a strong power boost with this node, making it easier to interrupt boss charge attacks and deal consistent damage.
Education Nodes

Found near the Bonds of Loyalty tree, Education Nodes increase EXP gain for all Digimon, no matter their personality. Each stage (In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Armor, Mega+, Hybrid) has its own node.
Each node gives 3% extra EXP per Agent Rank, stacking up to 30%. Even if most of your Digimon are past Rookie or Champion, these nodes are always worth picking up.
Cross Art: High Field

One of the most expensive nodes (100 Anomaly Points), Cross Art: High Field is hard to unlock but well worth it. It provides multiple buffs and, most importantly, a one-turn shield for your team—extremely helpful for surviving tough encounters.
Strategic CP Application

Unlike personality-based skills, Strategic CP Application simply helps you gain more CP over the course of the story. Since CP is a resource you’ll constantly use in battles, this passive boost is always useful.
Digivolution Nodes

Normally, Digivolving Digimon requires meeting certain stat requirements, which can involve a lot of time in the DigiFarm. Digivolution Nodes make this process smoother, letting you evolve Digimon more freely as you level them.
The only drawback is the cost—160 Anomaly Points to unlock every Digivolution node across all personalities. Still, it saves a lot of grinding and micromanagement in the long run.
Final Thoughts
Most of the strongest Agent Skills rely on understanding and taking advantage of Digimon personalities. Eventually, you’ll gather enough Anomaly Points to unlock almost everything, but it’s best to prioritize offensive boosts, Bond of Strength, Education Nodes, and Cross Art: High Field early on. And don’t forget—completing sidequests is one of the best ways to earn more Anomaly Points!
