The Trials, also known as the Expedition, in ARC Raiders have been a controversial topic since the feature launched. Completing the Expedition demands a huge amount of time, patience, and repetitive tasks, leading many players to wonder whether the final rewards are actually justified. With the very first Expedition window ending on December 17, players now have to decide: is it worth finishing?
ARC Raiders Expedition Rewards

The Expedition is divided into six stages, each requiring players to complete various objectives such as collecting specific materials, donating items, and even waiting a full seven days for the Expedition to wrap up. While the full list of tasks is lengthy, what most players really care about is the reward list.
Here’s everything you get for completing the Expedition:
Permanent Unlocks
- Patchwork Raider outfit
- Scrappy Janitor Cap
- Expeditions Indicator icon
- Skill points (based on your Raider’s stash value)
- +12 Stash space
Temporary Buffs
- 10% repair speed bonus
- 5% XP boost
- 6% more Scrappy materials
Your skill point reward scales directly with your stash value. For every 1 million Coins worth of items in your stash, you earn 1 additional skill point for your next new Raider. Reaching the maximum of 5 points requires an enormous 5 million Coin valuation.
Is It Worth the Grind?
For most players, the answer is no.
Given how long it takes to gather the required Expedition materials—combined with the fact that your Workshop upgrades reset afterward—the return on investment is simply not strong enough for anyone who can’t commit significant game time. Even chasing the maximum skill points requires 40+ hours of farming, depending on efficiency and strategy.
If you have limited time to play each week, the Expedition is unlikely to be worth the effort. Even for players who log 20–30 hours per week, the grind can still feel excessive unless you’re a completionist or someone who genuinely enjoys starting over and optimizing progression.
Bottom Line
The Expedition will appeal only to players who enjoy long-term challenges and don’t mind the reset that comes afterward. For everyone else—especially those with limited playtime—the rewards just aren’t compelling enough to justify the massive time commitment.
