The North Line update brings a host of exciting new content to ARC Raiders, including one massive addition: the Matriarch.
The Matriarch is much larger than the Queen, making it the biggest and strongest ARC enemy yet. But despite its size, players are finding it surprisingly difficult to locate. Here’s what we know about finding the Matriarch in ARC Raiders.
How to Find the ARC Matriarch
As of November 13, there’s still no confirmed method to locate the Matriarch, even during the event or under specific weather conditions.
The Matriarch only appears when there’s an active Matriarch event on the map, similar to how players find the Queen during the “Harvester” event, as the Queen guards the Harvester in that scenario.
During the Matriarch event, the in-game notification reads:
“A Matriarch has been sighted nearby. Her children seem hell-bent on keeping her from harm.”
Despite searching the area thoroughly, players have reported that the Matriarch does not appear. Many have tried eliminating all ARCs around the location, following the hint about “her children,” but it hasn’t worked.
While it’s an interesting theory and might eventually work, the Matriarch’s own legend or icon does not appear on the map during the event.
Before the North Line patch, some players noticed a massive ARC enemy larger than the Queen along the Blue Gate mountainside. This was suspected to be the Matriarch, but it only acted as background outside the Blue Gate map.
Some players have tried waiting for the raid timer to expire during the Matriarch event, but only the ARC Orbiter appeared.
It’s possible that the event is not fully active yet, perhaps waiting for the Stella Mortis event to conclude. Regardless, this guide will be updated as soon as the Matriarch finally makes an appearance.
