The highly anticipated Risk of Rain 2 expansion, Alloyed Collective, which introduces two new survivors, six stages, and a host of new items, finally has an official release date — and it won’t be long before players can dive in.
Release Date
Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective will launch on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, and PS5 on November 18, 2025.
Gearbox confirmed the date with a brand-new trailer featuring Drifter, a survivor from the original Risk of Rain, entering the 3D world of Risk of Rain 2.
The Nintendo Switch version will release later, as the developers are working to optimize the expansion for the platform.
Pricing and New Content
The DLC is priced at $15, similar to previous expansions, and introduces a range of new content:
Six New Stages:
- Pretender’s Precipice
- Iron Alluvium
- Repurposed Crater
- Conduit Canyon
Two New Survivors:
- Drifter
- Operator
New Mechanics:
- Seven new drone types, with a new dedicated station to modify them.
- Seven new enemy types.
- New bosses, including a Teleporter encounter and a final boss.
- 15 new items.
While these are the officially revealed features, it’s expected that the DLC will include secrets and surprises, as with previous expansions.

After Gearbox took over development, Risk of Rain 2 faced some rough patches, but the developers have actively addressed most issues. The game is now in excellent shape, and this new expansion looks very promising. Both Drifter and Operator have unique playstyles, giving players plenty of opportunities to explore and master them.
