How to Get Through the Misty Grove in Absolum

As you progress through Grandery, you’ll eventually unlock the Misty Grove. Guided by the Goblin Champion, your goal is to reach the heart of the Grove and claim its rewards by carefully following his instructions.

If you’re struggling to find the path to the heart of the Misty Grove in Absolum, here’s how it works.

Reaching the Heart of the Misty Grove

The Misty Grove is haunted by Wraiths and filled with multiple diverging paths. To navigate correctly, you need to hit the skull-adorned signposts twice each time they appear.

Use your regular light attack to avoid triggering multi-hit effects. Hitting the signpost twice moves the arrow to the correct path, but the sequence is randomized to challenge you. Follow this pattern carefully, and progress along the correct route.

If you make a mistake, the Goblin Champion will insult you at the end of the Grove, and you won’t receive any meaningful rewards.

Rewards at the Heart of the Misty Grove

By successfully following the instructions, you will reach the Grove’s heart after passing three signposts. Completing this quest lets you interact with a new merchant, Gonga-Lotan, who sells Rituals instead of Trinkets.

Several rituals can be very helpful as you prepare to face the Underking. If you have 600 coins, you can purchase all three. Unlike Kahlo the Trader, Gonga-Lotan does not offer a loyalty card system.

Dealing with Wraiths

Wraiths are common enemies in the Misty Grove. Their red attacks deal significant damage, and they can transform into smaller forms to close in on you. They also throw ghost balls, which should always be deflected.

Use Arcana liberally to gain the advantage, and try to close the distance to deal direct damage whenever possible.

Associated Achievement / Trophy

Successfully reaching the heart of the Misty Grove unlocks the Heart of the Mist achievement.

For players aiming to 100% the game, this is a necessary side quest. While relatively simple, it can be unclear initially which targets need to be struck to proceed.
